Cathy Jean Lentz

Cathy Jean Lentz, 52, of Stony Creek, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bobbie Talley Lentz; son, Douglas “Dink” Eddins, Jr.; and her dog, Sweet Pea. Cathy was the New England Patriots’ biggest fan. She enjoyed fishing and spending time on the boat. She had a love for dogs all her life. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She is survived by her son, David C. Eddins and wife, Lindsay; daughter, Mandi J. Eddins; father, Charles G. Lentz, Jr.; father of her children, Douglas Eddins; seven grandchildren, Alexus Marie Eddins, Anselmo “Pookie” Serna, Emmie Lou Eddins, Dennie Mae Eddins, Jay Colby Serna, David “Tinker” Mills and Brooklyn Alexus Mills; brother, Andy Lentz and wife, Jackie; two sisters, Joann Lentz and Connie Ramirez and husband, Roy; fiancé, Dale Roberts; dogs, Sissy, Scooter and Mimi; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, February 10, 2017 at the funeral home.
