Cecil Bennett Christopher, 70, of Dinwiddie County, passed away Friday, December 21, 2007. Born in Dinwiddie, he was the son of the late Willie Ernest and Hallie Moore Christopher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Willie E. Christopher, Jr. and Curly Joe Christopher, a sister, Joyce Ann Christopher, and two nephews, Tony Christopher and Alec Christopher. Mr. Christopher is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia F. Christopher; son, Cecil Edward â??Eddieâ? Christopher and wife, Lisa Gravitte Christopher; daughter, Carol C. Frye and husband, Michael Amos Frye all of Dinwiddie; grandchildren, Tracy Michelle Frye, Nicole Robin Frye, Lauren Carol Christopher and Ryan Thomas Christopher; brothers, Bobby Christopher and wife, Joyce of Church Road and Tommy Christopher of Colonial Heights; sisters, Alice C. Maitland and husband, Joyce, Louise C. Bishop and husband, Bobby both of Church Road and Betty Lou Fisher and husband, Abner of North Carolina; sister-in-law, Marquitta S. Christopher; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday, December 23, at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday at Prospect Christian Church Cemetery, 13505 White Oak Road, DeWitt, VA, with The Rev. Sally Good officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Prospect Christian Church Cemetery Fund c/o Margaret Lewis, 10601 Trinity Church Road, Church Road, VA 23833.
