Baskerville, Channing Feild Jr. departed this life Wednesday, January 19, 2011. He was born October 29, 1927, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Channing Feild Baskerville. He was also preceded in death by his son Channing Feild Baskerville III. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Elizabeth â??Libbaâ? Eanes Baskerville, son Edward Eanes Baskerville and wife Becky all of McKenney, daughter Jean Baskerville Alcott and her husband Ken of Richmond, and daughter-in-law Jill Clarke Baskerville of Chester: eight grandchildren, three step grandchildren, and five great grandchildren; sister King Baskerville Talley of McKenney, brother Alexander Terrell Baskerville and wife Elaine of Orange, sister Frances Baskerville Tucker and husband John of Manassas. Mr. Baskerville graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute where he was a member of the German Club. As a Marine, he served in World War II and later in the Korean Conflict, in the Army. His career with the Rochester Button Company lasted until his retirement in 1985. He was a lifetime communicant of The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. He served for over 40 years on the Board of Directors of the Bank of McKenney. He was a member of the American Legion Post 149, the McKenney Ruritan Club, and former member of the Dinwiddie County School Board. The family will receive friends at the home. Services will be held at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd at 2:00 pm on Friday.
