Charlene Annette Makovsky

Charlene Annette Makovsky, 57, of Prince George, VA departed this life after a battle with cancer on Monday, September 27, 2021. Charlene was born August 14, 1964 in Hopewell, VA to Charles and Annette Allmon as the youngest of four children. She is preceded in death by her Father Charles; brother, Douglas, and her beloved Blu dog. She is survived by her mother, Annette, as well as siblings; Beverly (Joe) and Duane (Debbie). In 1995, Charlene married and is also survived by John C. Makovsky; children, Daniel (Katie) Thompson and Ashleigh Makovsky; grandchildren, Kayden, Korbin, Olivia, Elizabeth, and Peyton. Charlene graduated High School in 1981, returning later to achieve her Bachelor’s Degree from St. Leo University. A retired employee of the City of Hopewell, she spent over 30 years working for the Wastewater Treatment Facility as their IT specialist.
A visitation will be held on October 7 from 6-8 PM at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in honor of Charlene to the Virginia Special Olympics. Condolences can be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
