Charlene Mae Neering

Charlene Mae Neering, 65, of Chesterfield, VA died on January 13th, 2018. Born in Arlington, VA, she was the daughter of Marion Josephine Allen and John Joseph Zysk. She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Neering, of 40 years. She is survived by her three children John, Dawn, and Charles, as well as, her two grandchildren Angelina and Jacob. As a diligent and faithful employee of Suntrust Mortgage in Richmond, VA she formed many lasting relationships with fellow coworkers throughout her 29 years of service. Outside of her occupation she found much joy by keeping in contact with distant relatives and childhood friends. She also served as a volunteer at Chester House and was a member of St. Augustine’s Church for many years. She would not hesitate to pick up the phone to let friends and family know how much they truly meant to her. She truly was the glue that kept her family together through her love and compassion. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesdat, January 17, 2018 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Washington Memorial Park in Sandston, VA. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to St. Augustine’s Catholic Church located at 4400 Beulah Rd, North Chesterfield, VA 23237 or to Chester House at 11814 Chester Rd., Chester, VA 23831.
