Charles Altman

Charles Oliver Altman, 79, of Chester, passed away Saturday March 26, 2011. He was predeceased by his parents, Glen O. & Beulah Pittman Altman and a son Scott. Charles graduated from Newton High School and after serving in the Army during the Korean War, went back to school and graduated with a Bachelors Degree from Drake University, Des Moines Iowa. He was employed for 20 years, retiring from The A.C. Nielson Co., Chicago and later Century Tile Co., in Chicago. Charles is survived by his wife of 53 years, Frances, daughter; Karen Smith and her husband, David, granddaughters; Allison & Hanna Smith all of Baltimore, Maryland. Services will be private.
