Charles Woodson Booker

Charles “Charlie” Woodson Booker, 60, a lifetime resident of Hopewell, VA passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017. Born in Richmond, VA he was the son of the late Dr. Daniel Coleman Booker, Sr. and Frances Rita Blocher Booker. Charlie loved sports and was a huge fan of the Washington Redskins football team. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Sandra W. Booker; step-daughter, Laura Gayle; one step-grandson, Brian Sharp; seven brothers and sisters, Dr. Daniel C. Booker, Jr. M.D. (Linda), Nancy Booker Malone (Michael), Margaret Booker Palmer (Larry), Frances Booker Goforth (Jim), Libby Booker Vinsh (Joseph), Barbara Booker Cannady (Gary) and Rebecca Booker Whipp (Frank); and numerous nieces, nephews and long-time friends. As per Charlie’s wishes all services will be private. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Charlie.
