Charles Edward Burke

Charles E. Burke, age 90, originally of Rappahannock County, passed away near his home in N. Chesterfield, Virginia on Monday, November 30, 2015. Charles was the only son born to Judd and Mary Hassie Coppage Burke, of Flint Hill, Virginia. He is survived by his sister, Mary Elizabeth Burke of Sperryville, Virginia and three sons and a daughter, all of Chesterfield, Virginia, nine grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren, all of whom loved him dearly. He was married to his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Hilda Jenkins Burke, also of Rappahannock County, Virginia until her death in April 2007. His children: Gary Burke and wife, Diane, Faye B. Smith, Keith Burke, Greg Burke and wife, Cassie, all morn his passing but acknowledge that he has gone home to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bensley-Bermuda Rescue Squad, 2500 Rio Vista St., Chester, VA 23831. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 3, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
