Charles Chumbley

Charles R. Chumbley, Sr., 73, of Enon, died Tuesday, February 07, 2006 at Johnston Willis Medical Center. He was born in Glenvar, VA and was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Richard and Ina Connor Chumbley and a son, Chris Chumbley. He was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a retired employee of Allied Chemical Company. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Chumbley of Enon; son, Charles R. Chumbley, Jr.; daughter, Ina Vidalakis and husband, Dr. George Vidalakis; two grandchildren, Michael George and Stephanie Diane Vidalakis all of Shawano, Wisconsin; and a brother-in-law, Bill Atkinson of Hopewell. The family will receive friends at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Graveside services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. A procession to the cemetery for family and friends will leave the funeral home on Friday at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Enon Volunteer Fire Department/EMS, P. O.
