Charles Emerson Esque, Sr., "Chan," 86, peacefully passed away at his home on Thursday, August 9, 2023.
He was born March 31, 1937, in Earling, WV. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen Esque; his parents, Claude and Hazel Esque; his uncle, Con Musick; his siblings, Harold Esque (Hon), Eugene Esque (Eb), and Carol Sue Esque. He will be lovingly remembered by sisters, Patricia Esque, Joyce Ann Perry, Linda Wooten, and Dreama Peters; his children, Hazel Fox, Charlie and Ronda Esque, Diane and Bobby Parker, and Richard Esque; and his treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a loving man who devoted his life to God and his family. He was a very avid gardener and enjoyed watching old western movies. The family would like to invite you to celebrate his life on Sunday, August 13, 2023, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM, with funeral services to be conducted at 11:00 AM, on Monday, August 14, 2023, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Appomattox Cemetery.
