Charles Garrett

Charles L. Garrett, age 65, of Chesterfield, VA, died on Saturday, April 18, 2009. He was born in Phillip, MS, the son of the late Jimmy E. and Alpha Mae Hitt Garrett. Mr. Garrett was a veteran of the U.S.M.C. He worked for over 38 years in the tire industry, most recently with Bridgestone Tire Company as a Regional Director of Sales. Mr. Garrett enjoyed time with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 plus years, Eileen Garrett; children, Charles Justin Garrett of Atlanta, GA, Raina Brella Garrett of Oxford, OH, and Chalace Nicole Hollinger and husband, Greg of Tulsa, OK; four grandchildren, Molly, Shelby, Ryan, and Kathryn; seven siblings, Loretta Osborne, Jimmy Garrett, Patricia Pope, Janice Foreman, Sandra Long, Mike Garrett, and Sharon Bradford; and other family and friends. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, from 1 to 2 p.m. Funeral services will follow the visitation, beginning at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local Veterans Association.
