Charles G. Harville, 79, of Petersburg, died Tuesday, February 8, 2011. He was a native of Sussex County and son of the late Clinton Barkley and Marion Leonard Harville. He was a railroad car repairman with Norfolk Southern Railroad System with 43 years of service. Charles loved to fish and work in his vegetable garden. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Louise Harville of Petersburg; four children, C. Thomas Harville (Cindy) of Sutherland, J. Mark Harville (Sandra) of Dinwiddie, Timothy E. Harville (Joyce) of Church Road, and Denise H. Barbini (Julian) of Dinwiddie; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Clinton L. Harville of Hopewell; numerous nieces and nephews; a special thanks to Louise Mayer and Cindy Bridgeman for all of their assistance during his illness. Graveside services are to be held at 1:00 pm Friday, February 11, 2011 at Southlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Robert Livesay and Rev. Joyce Harville officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
