Charles Albert Hawkins

Charles Albert Hawkins, 89, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024. He was born to the late Albert and Amy Hawkins, in Chesterfield County. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife, Beverly Jones Hawkins. Charles dutifully served his country in the United States Army and went on to work for Verizon for many years. He loved his church, Dinwiddie Baptist, and could often be found there. Charles is survived by his children, Robert W. Hawkins, Steven C. Hawkins, and Page H. Smith (Thomas); his grandchildren, Russel and Christopher Hawkins; and his sister, Judy Cole. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 11:00 am, at Dinwiddie Baptist Church. Interment will be on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 11:00 am, at Southlawn Memorial Park.
