Charles Bernard Holt

Charles Bernard Holt, 70, of Petersburg, VA, died Friday, July 07, 2017. Born in Southampton County, VA, he was the son of the late Robert G. Bailey, Jr. and Ethel Marie Holt. He was also preceded in death by a son, Chuckie Bailey. An avid outdoorsman, Charles enjoyed hunting and fishing any time he got the chance. He also enjoyed playing bingo, and Christmas was his favorite time of the year. But more than anything, he loved his granddaughter. He is survived by his wife, Jennie Lee Holt; sons, Michael Bailey and Chris Holt; daughter, Kim Adkins and husband Josh; granddaughter, Arria Adkins; brother, Robert G. Bailey, III; nieces, Casey Bailey, Ashley Avent, and Candice Bailey, and a nephew, Robert G. Bailey, IV. A funeral service will be held at 4pm on Monday July 10, 2017 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
