Charles Allen Jimison

Charles Allen "Al" Jimison, 69, of Hopewell, VA, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024. Born in Huntington, WVA, he was the son of the late Charles Warriner Jimison and Patsy Jean Hager Jimison. Al was a 1972 graduate of Burke High School in Omaha, Nebraska, and had retired from Columbia Gas, as a compliance officer, after many years of dedicated service. Al was a member of the band Magnolia for over 50 years, as a guitarist and vocalist. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father, adoring grandfather, known as Peeps and Bup, and dedicated friend and bandmember. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Munford Jimison; one son, Mark Allen Jimison and wife, Ashley Pavlock Jimison; a daughter, Erin Ruth Jimison; four grandchildren, Colin, Cameron, Grant, and Emma; his sister, Kristy Jimison Bein and her husband, David; sisters-in-law, Gail Hudson and Bonnie Wall; and a host of nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Beacon Theatre, on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 11:00 am. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Beacon Theater in memory of Al Jimison.
