Charles Edward Johnson, Sr.

Johnson, Charles Edward Sr.75, of Colonial Heights, VA., passed away, Wednesday, August 22, 2018 after a brief illness. He is preceded in death by his parents, Omega and Matthew Johnson; sister, Iva Jones; and brother, Everette Johnson. Charles was retired as a Construction Laborer. He spent his retirement fishing, gardening, yard work, going out to lunch with family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather who will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife, of 51 years Robnette Johnson; son, Charles Johnson, Jr. (Patricia); daughter, Christie Johnson; brother, Matthew E. Johnson (Corliss Freda); sister Brenda Bailey (John); grandchildren, Cameron Murry and Jazmin Johnson; his cat, Dipper; and other family members and friends. The family will receive friends, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 27, 2018 at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home of Chester, 3050 W. Hundred Rd., where a service will be held, 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 28, 2018. Internment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
