Charles Freeman Lee

July 20, 1934 — September 9, 2018

Charles Freeman Lee, 84, of South Prince George, passed away Sunday September 9, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert F. and Antonio W. Lee; brother, Alvin W. Lee; and a great nephew Hunter K. Lee. He is survived by his loving wife, Jane; brother, Gilbert (Carole); sister in-law, Katherine L. Tyler; and numerous nieces and nephews. Charles was a veteran of the Navy and worked for Stone Container for 43 years. Some of his passions included the Prince George Food Bank, where he helped for 17 years; he was a charter member of the Prince George Emergency Crew; and he was a lifelong member of Gary’s UMC. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the Petersburg Chapel of the J.T. Morriss& Son Funeral Home, 103 S Adams St.. A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday at Gary’s United Methodist Church. In-lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gary’s UMC, 13501 Sunnybrook Rd. S Prince George, VA 23805; Prince George Fire & EMS, P.O. Box 308, Prince George, VA 23805; Prince George Food Bank, P.O. Box 1386, Prince George, VA 23805.
