Charles Lundie

Charles L. Lundie, 65 a resident of Prince George County, died unexpectedly, Sunday, January 4, 2009. Mr. Lundie was born in Petersburg and graduated from Petersburg High School in 1961 and continued his education at Richard Bland College. He built his career as a Home Builder and Land Developer in Prince George and the surrounding counties for more than 46 years. He was owner and operator of Charles L. Lundie, Inc., Lundie Utilities and Lundie Realty. He was a member of the Richmond Shag Club, Southside Home Builders Association of VA and past member of Prince George Emergency Crew. In his spare time, he enjoyed shagging, fishing and relaxing on his boat. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He was predeceased by his father, Charles J. Lundie and survived by his mother, Ann Lundie of Chesterfield. Surviving are his daughter, Connie Lundie-Crowder and husband, Scott of Prince George, VA; his son, Charles Wade Lundie and wife, Donna of Prince George, VA; four grandchildren, Jared and Lauren Crowder and Joshua and Grace Lundie; one brother, Gerald G. Lundie of Prince George; a niece, Jamie Jo Lundie; and nephews, Derek and Blake Lundie. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, January 8, 2009 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with the Pastor Carl Weaver officiating.
