Charles Howard Morris Jr.

Charles Howard Morris Jr, age 86, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born in Hopewell, Virginia to Charles and Cora Morris. He graduated from Hopewell High School in 1950 and joined the US Army where he proudly served as an Infantryman in the Korean War. After the war he moved back to Hopewell where he married the love of his life, Margaret Bryant in 1956, raised a family and worked for A&P for the next 30 years. After his retirement, Charles enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved to go fishing whenever he had the time. Charles loved to make people laugh and had silly nicknames for almost everyone. He was a dedicated husband and father, always putting family first. Charles is survived by his wife, Margaret and son Steven, his sister Patsy and grandchildren Jared and Lindsey and numerous nieces and nephews. All of these he loved and touched deeply. A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 18th at Bermuda Memorial Park, 1901 Bermuda Hundred Rd, Chester, VA 23836 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Larry Hudnall officiating.
