Charles R. Ownby, Jr.

Charles R. Ownby, Jr., 77, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025. He was born to the late Charles Sr and Louise Ownby, in Charleston, WV. He worked for 34 years for DuPont, volunteered with the Chester Volunteer Fire Department, and dutifully served his country in the Navy. He was a faithful member of The Heights Baptist Church, in Chesterfield. He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Ownby; his children, Dawn Hager (Carl) and David R. Ownby; his grandchildren, Amanda Carter (Bradley) and Cadence Hager; and numerous family and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 6 to 8 PM, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 2 PM, at Bermuda Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the American Heart Association.
