Charles Ronald Palmer

Charles "Charlie" Ronald Palmer, 72, of Hopewell, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Palmer and Gloria Skelton; and his brother, Ernest James "Jimmy" Palmer.

Charlie loved his customers at OK Tire and never met a stranger. He enjoyed talking to his friends, and in his spare time enjoyed fishing, his pigeons, and antique cars. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Frances "Darlene" Palmer; daughter, Crystal Williams (Tim); devoted "brother" for 60 years, John Manckia (DeDe); grandchildren, Logan Earl Williams and Jourdyn "Jelly Bean/Monkey Butt" Michele Williams; mom and dad #2, Alan and Ramona Adair; devoted sister-in-law, Brenda Scott (Roger); and sister-in-law, Wanda Vaughan (Donald); nieces and nephews, Christy Palmer Archileti (Lewis), Duane Palmer (Jim), and Mark Palmer (Tricia), along with many other nieces and nephews; and numerous other extended family members.

The family would like to say thank you from the bottom of their hearts to three special ladies, Jamie Puryear, Candace Ross, and Elizabeth from Affinity Care Hospice, for the love and care they have shown for Charlie over the past two years.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 13, 2023, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, at J.T. Morriss & Son - Hopewell Chapel, 820 W. Broadway Avenue, Hopewell. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Bermuda Memorial Park, 1901 Bermuda Hundred Road, Chester.
