Charles Bentley Parker, Jr., 64, of Colonial Heights, VA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday, March 20, 2017. He was a native of Jarratt, VA, and was preceded in death by his loving parents, Ben and Erma Lee Parker. He leaves behind to mourn his passing, his loving wife of 42 years, Lizette; two daughters, Jennifer Mallory (Bill) of Chester and Kristin Clay (John) of Dinwiddie; his beloved grandchildren, Rachel, Ben, Ryan, Emma and Kate; three sisters, Patsy Jones of Jarratt, Nancy Parker and Karen Parker both of Glen Allen; a brother, John Parker (Molly) of Colonial Heights, as well as several nieces and nephews. He loved the Lord, loved his family, and loved the Yankees. He served his country in the Army National Guard from 1972 to 1980. He retired from ICI/Dupont Teijin Films after 38 years. Mr. Parker was a member of Enon Baptist Church and a former member and Deacon of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Colonial Heights. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2017 at Enon Baptist Church, 13607 N. Enon Church Road, Chester, VA 23836. The family will receive friends following the service.
