Charles Harrison â??Buckyâ? Pecht, 86, of Dinwiddie County, passed away February 18, 2011 at Southside Regional Hospital. Bucky was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Lucille Marks Pecht. He was the son of the late Goldie Lanier and Bruce H. Pecht and his sister, Joyce M. Cassidy. Bucky was a life long member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and a veteran of WWII. He was one of the former owners of â??Pechtâ??s Power Equipmentâ? in Dinwiddie.Bucky is survived by his brother, Ronald L. Pecht (Carolyn) of Dinwiddie, his sister Janet P. Brockwell of Carson, his aunt Grace L. Bride of Dinwiddie, his great granddaughter, Crystal Munford of Chesterfield, special friend Charles Mark Baird of Dinwiddie along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews as well as many friends young and old. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morris, Sunday, February 20, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 21 at 10:00 AM in the J. T. Morris Petersburg Chapel with entombment at Southlawn Memorial Park to follow.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Oak Grove United Methodist Church Building, 12715 Acorn Drive, Petersburg, VA 23805.
