Charles Fletcher Perkins, Sr. 68 died Sunday, February 13, 2005. He was the widower of Cecile Thomas Perkins. He was a native of Dinwiddie and son of the late Archer Witherspoon & Alice Elizabeth Smith Perkins. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his twin brother A. W. ?Spoony? Perkins and niece Amy P. Duncan. He was a member of Reams Methodist Church and a charter member of Rowanta Hunt Club where he served on the Board of Directores. He was employed by Brown & Williamson for 26 years and retired from the Physical Plant of Central State Hospital. He also leaves to his memory many special friends at Reams Station, Goofus?, W.S. Campbell?s Garage and Wilkinsons Oil Co. He is survived by his two daughters, Deborah P. Westmoreland (Marvin) and Cheryl Lynn Perkins; one son, Peter Perkins (Joy) ; grandchildren, Brandon Westmoreland (Devon), Berkeley Westmoreland, Matthew Hunter Perkins and Bryan Pittman; Great-Grandson, Braeden Westmoreland; sister, Gertrude ?Perk? Givens (John Harvey); brother, Robert F. Perkins (BJ); sister-in-law, Betty Gray R. Perkins; other survivors including aunt, Rosa Smith, nieces, nephews and cousins. A special friend of the home Mary M. Abernathy. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
