Charles Frede Schulte, 87, of Hopewell, formerly of Bradenton, FL passed away on August 25, 2012. He was the son of the late Grover C. and Gertrude Frede Schulte, and was also preceded in death by a son, James C. Schulte. Mr. Schulte was a U.S. Cost Guard veteran, and was a retired firefighter from the Cincinnati Fire Department after 25 years of service. After moving to Florida, he retired after 15 years from AAA. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rosemary Schulte; a son, Michael J. Schulte and wife, Michele; one daughter, Barbara A. Hatcher and husband, Russell; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George, VA. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. James Catholic Church, Hopewell, Va.
