Charles David "Turtle" Sears

Charles David “Turtle” Sears, 18, of Hopewell, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lana Sears; and paternal grandfather, Gerald Brinkley. Turtle is survived by his parents, Charles E. and Alanna Walmsley Sears; 3 brothers, Seth Sears, Evan Sears and Justus Sears; maternal grandparents, Betty and Robert Walmsley; paternal grandparents, Charles R. Sears and Jackie Brinkley; biological grandfather, Jeptha Gibson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Turtle loved classical music and had a particular interest in the color red. He touched the lives of many people and showed them how to be compassionate to those with disabilities. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
