CHARLES FRANKLIN VEALEY, 64, of Chester, VA, journeyed from his earthly home to his Heavenly home on August 17, 2017. Charlie (Chuck) was born on February 18, 1953, in Charleston, WV. He was raised in East Bank, WV where he graduated from East Bank High School. He attended West Virginia Tech, and he graduated from John Tyler Community College. He also attended VCU. He worked for and retired from Philip Morris/Altria. He was preceded in death by his father, Sherman L. Vealey, brother, Robert Jason Vealey, grandparents, Holley and Russie Hundley, Charles and Ollie Vealey. He was a member of Powers Memorial Baptist Church in Hopewell, VA, for more than 40 years, and he was also a member of the Prince George Masonic Lodge No. 115 A.F. & A.M. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kim Bostic Vealey of Chester, VA and their sons Jeremy Vealey (Will Wallace) of Brooklyn, NY and Brandon Vealey (Mike DePhillip) of Richmond, VA, and their daughter Amy Vealey (Stephen) Sales of Henrico, VA, his mother, Rosie Hundley Vealey of Pratt, WV, sisters, Mary (Steve) Veazey, also of Pratt, Vanessa Walker of Standard, WV, Louetta (Buddy) Cook of Marietta, GA, and sisters-in-law, Amy Edelkind Vealey of Atlanta, GA, Lynn (Earl) Michaels of FL, and Tracy (Doug) Cogar of WV. He is also survived by his uncles, Holley (Leona), Robert (Millie), Jim (Norene), and Freda Hundley, all of MI, and Charles (Sue) and Jerry Hundley of VA, and aunts, June Hundley (Jim) Combs of OH, Wavie Hundley (Earnest) Chappell of WV, and Lovie Hundley (Jerry) Ruloff of VA; dozens of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends who provided support in the way of food, visits, calls, errands, prayers, cards, and especially love. Thank you to Hospice of Virginia and the staff of the Massey Cancer Center in Richmond, VA, for their compassionate and outstanding care. A memorial service with Masonic rites will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Powers Memorial Baptist Church, Hopewell, VA.
