Charles Raymond Westmoreland Sr.

Charles Raymond Westmoreland, Sr., 81, of Sutherland, VA, known to his family as "Boy," went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 30, 2017. Born in Petersburg, VA, he was preceded in death by his father, Roy Lee Ford, mother, Martha Alma Westmoreland Brockwell, and step-father, Percy G. Brockwell. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Westmoreland retired from Allied Chemical Corporation’s Chester Plant after 37 years of service and was a member of Central Baptist Church. He is survived by wife of 55 years, Norma Stowers Westmoreland; daughter, Karen F. Westmoreland (Eileen L. Brown); son, Charles Raymond Westmoreland, Jr. (Jennifer); granddaughter, Madison Marie Westmoreland; sister-in-law, Carolyn S. Hogue (Henry); brother-in-law, Robert Stowers (Frances), as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Southlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Jonathan Waits officiating.
