Charlyne Fox Moody

Charlyne Fox Moody, 79, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Charles Gabriel Fox, Jr. and Claudyne Worley Fox; spouse, Asa Carlyle Moody, Jr.; son, Brian Moody; and brother, Gary P. Fox. Charlyne was born in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1943, and moved to Pulaski, VA, shortly after where she lived until she attended Southern Seminary College, in Buena Vista, VA, where she graduated with an Associate Degree in Science in 1963. She also attended the Petersburg General Hospital School of Nursing in Petersburg, VA. Charlyne was described by friends as an extremely sweet, funny, and caring person. She enjoyed listening to Christian music and watching the "diamonds sparkle" on the Appomattox River from her back porch. Charlyne is survived by her brother, William Frederick Fox and his children, Holly Fox and April Williamson (Jeff); her sister-in-law, Debi Fox; her nephews, Chuck Fox (Veronica) and their children, Ryan and Lauren Fox, and Chad Fox (Kelli) and their son, Quinton Fox; her niece, Madalyn Fox-Dalton (Josh) and their son, Phifer Dalton; and special friends, Jane Denton and Jackie Worrell. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Brookdale Senior Living for their care for Charlyne. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at 1:00 PM J.T. Morriss & Son - Petersburg, 103 S. Adams Street, where a funeral service will take place in the chapel at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow the service at Blandford Cemetery at the conclusion of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pulaski Free Clinic, 25 4th Street NW, Pulaski, VA 24301.
