Cheryl Ann Mcnew

Cheryl Ann McNew, 64, of Disputanta, VA, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 18, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy, and Jean Purdie; her husband, Richard McNew; and her brother, Roy Lee Purdie, Jr. She is survived by her significant other, Allen Wood; son, Michael K. McNew; and daughter, Amy Williams (Edric Jones); grandchildren, Channyn McNew, Kaitlyn Bordeaux, Justin Bordeaux, and Shaddiah Jones; brothers, Kenny Purdie (Linda); and Ronnie Purdie (Becky); as well as numerous extended family and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 21, 2023, from 7:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at J.T. Morriss & Son Hopewell Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2023, in the chapel. Interment will follow in East Matoaca Cemetery.
