Christopher “Chris” Alden Lee, 56, of Colonial Heights, VA went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 24, 2019. Born in Petersburg, VA he was the son of the late Robert E. Lee, Jr.; and was also preceded in death by a sister, Robin Clampitt; and a brother, Brian K. Lee. Chris was a charter member of Swift Creek Baptist Church, where he had served in numerous capacities to include, deacon, Sunday School teacher, choir member and youth leader. Chris had served over 30 years as a dedicated employee of Butterworth’s Furniture in Petersburg, VA. He will be remembered as a loving family man and a dedicated servant for his Lord Jesus Christ. Chris is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Martha D. Lee; two daughters, Laura Beth Brink and husband, Colin and Taylor Lee; his mother, Peggy V. Lee; a brother, Robert E. Lee, III and wife, Debra Kay; a sister, Donna M. Lee; sister-in-law, Debbie Markert and husband, Wallace; brother-in-law, Wayne Clampitt; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Swift Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Steve Felker and the Rev. Andrew Cheatham, officiating. Interment will follow in Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2019 at the church. The family is being served by the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
