It is with immense sorrow that we announce the passing of Christina Nikole Romero, age 34, on August 21, 2017. Christina was born on October 29, 1982, in Monterrey, California, and resided in Chesterfield, Virginia for most of her life. Christina is survived by her parents, Felix Romero, Sr. and Blanca Romero; her sons, Giovanny Agustin, Tiago Escobar, and Sergio Escobar; her brothers, Felix Romero, Jr. and Christopher Romero; her grandfathers, Ramon Romero and Miguel Cortazar; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; a multitude of friends; and her love, Alex Cerrado.
Christina was a beautiful, vibrant, funny, intelligent, and loving mother, daughter, and friend. She was beloved by all who knew her. Christina’s smile was infectious, her heart boundless, and her joy of life immeasurable. She loved camping trips to Kerr Lake, outings to Buckroe Beach, dancing, cooking, and most of all, spending time with her boys. Christina and her sons loved to swim in their pool, play at the park, go to soccer games, attend festivals, and visit with family and friends.
Christina was an accomplished woman, both professionally and personally. She put herself through both college and graduate school, and was granted her Master’s in Business Administration, Summa Cum Laude, in 2016. She did so, remarkably, while working full time and raising her three sons. Christina had a successful career as a buyer, due to her drive, conviction, and strong work ethic.
The family’s grief is immense. Christina was cherished deeply, and her absence is felt with despair. The world has lost a magnificent soul, while heaven has gained an absolute angel. The family prays that Christina has found peace, and knows that she will watch over them, especially her boys, with the same willful, strong, devoted spirit that she embodied on Earth.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, August 25, 2017, at the Chester Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made at the family’s Go Fund Me page
