With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Christina Ann Stevens (née Scrivener), who was taken from us too soon on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 52 years of age. She fought valiantly against breast cancer, including surgery and debilitating treatments which gave us four extra years with her. She brought immeasurable joy and light into our lives with her keen wit, brilliant mind, and boundless curiosity. She worked as an architect in California's Bay Area, including the earthquake retrofit on Google's headquarters and work on the new Apple campus. Locally, she was the architect for the Spring Valley Hospital operating room expansion. Though her time with us was too short, the depth of love and happiness she shared will forever remain in our hearts.
Christina is survived by her husband, Paul Stevens; her daughter, Elizabeth Stevens; her parents, Ed and Judy Scrivener, of Chester, VA; her two sisters, Sandra Beaulieu, of Callaway, MD and Sheryl Richardson, of Arlington, TN; and three nieces and two nephews.
A service celebrating Christina's life will be held at 10 am, on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Christ The King Parish, Las Vegas, NV, where friends and family are invited to remember a life that was truly a gift to us all. She will be transported to her hometown of Chester, VA, for burial. After a memorial service at 11 am, at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home - Chester Chapel, on Saturday, September 28, 2024, she will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Chester, VA. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at 10 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation to the Foreclosed Upon Pets, Inc. (forecloseduponpets.org) be made in her name.
