Christine Daniel Amabile of Colonial Heights, formerly of Petersburg, entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 05, 2007 after a long, courageous battle with Parkinsonâ??s disease. She was the youngest daughter of the late Herman C. and Viola Kelly Daniel of McKenney, VA. Christine attended Longwood College and was a graduate of John Tyler Community College. She retired from the Department of the Army, Fort Lee, VA as a Management Analyst; however, most of her career was spent in the Finance & Accounting Division at Fort Lee. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Marlene D. Clements, Hilda D. Beville, and Eva D. Davis. She leaves to cherish her memories 3 children, one devoted daughter and son-in-law, Luanne and James D. Stamper of Charles City; grandchildren, Kevin, Elizabeth and Katherine Bader, and Aisha C. Bryant; brothers, Herman C. Daniel, Jr. (Marie) of Midlothian, William B. Daniel (Ethel) of Dinwiddie, Arthur C. Daniel (Evelyn) of McKenney, and Robert G. Daniel (Joan) of Chester; numerous nieces and nephews; and friend and roommate, Mrs. Irene Reges. She also leaves behind her second family at the Colonial Heights Health Care Center where she resided since March 2000. Christine will always fondly be remembered for her strength and perseverance, as well as her quick wit and keen sense of humor which carried her through those trying times. To all of you that remained steadfast over years with your loving care, prayers, visits and support bestowed upon Christine â?? your words of compassion and deeds of kindness did not go unnoticed. May the Lord continually bless you with heavenâ??s blessings as well as human joys. Psalms 128:5 The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2007 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg.
