Christine Scott Ingle, 74, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2011. She worked in the ADCO (Alcohol Drug Counselor Office) at Fort Lee. Mrs. Ingle was a very caring woman; and a blessing to the many people she counseled. She was a long time member of Crowder Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. Ingle was very active in the church and served as a Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, and a member of the choir. She enjoyed quilting, oil painting, playing the piano and guitar. Mrs. Ingle treasured her family and especially time spent with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert L. and Lizzie E. Scott; and a brother, Lynwood Scott. Mrs. Ingle is survived by her husband, Anthony O. Ingle; sons, Anthony M. Ingle, and Bryan R. Ingle and wife Thelma; daughter, Connie I. Lunsford and husband Stephen; grandchildren, Christopher Lunsford, Zachary Ingle, James Ingle, Haley Ingle, and Skyler Ingle; great grandchild, Isabella Lunsford; brother, Arnold Scott; sisters-in-law, Hazel Emory, and Dora Owens; and other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 14, 2011 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, with Pastor Joseph Elmore officiating. Interment will follow at Bermuda Memorial Park in Chester, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crowder Memorial Baptist Church, 3018 County Drive, Petersburg, VA 23805.
