Christine English Jones

Christine English Jones, of Prince George County, Virginia passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017. She was born January 29, 1923 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, to the late Mallie and Vallie English. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolphus C. Jones and brother Earnest E. English. She was a lifelong member of Woodlawn Presbyterian Church in Hopewell. She is survived by her two sons, Buddy L. Jones (Diane), and Timothy A. Jones (Nancy) both of Prince George; two daughters, Carolyn J. Temple (Floyd), and Kaye J. Sawyers (Virgil) both of Prince George; six grandchildren, Floyd Temple (Tammy) of Prince George, Jill Parrish (Kenneth) of Prince George, Kristy Drum (Rick) of Virginia Beach, Maury Garrett (Dawn) of Chester, Rodney Jones of Prince George, and Brandon Jones (Ashley) of Prince George; ten great-grandchildren, Travis W. Temple, Tracy Baird, Cory D. Parrish, Cole S. Garrett, Jordan N. Garrett, Ashley N., Rachel E., Stevie Grace, Carter Drum, and Kortney L. Jones; and one great-great-grandchild, Adriaunna Richardson. The family will receive friends at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, April 16th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A graveside service will be held at Appomattox Cemetery on Monday, April 17th at 11:00am.
