Christine Morgan

Christine â??Tinaâ? Virginia Titmus Morgan, 86, of Petersburg passed away on July 26, 2011. Raised in Prince George, she was the daughter of the late Charles Raymond Sr. and Ida Estelle Davis Titmus. She was a member of West End Baptist Church for 80 years, a member of the choir for 57 years, and a charter member of the Triple L Club. She was also a deacon Emeriti and served on numerous committees in the church. She was a past member of the Burlington Garden Club, The Southside Needlepoint Guild, Crater Chapter #1399 AARP, Young at Heart, and was a volunteer at the Petersburg General Hospital Guild. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Alvin â??Speedâ? Morgan; and five brothers, Charles, Edward Lee â??E-Boyâ?, John, Carl, and James. She is survived by her children Melba M. Felty (Sieg), Ronnie Morgan (Fran), and Leah A. Morgan; four grandchildren, Ryan Morgan (Robin), Caroline Myers (Troy), Abbi Hawkins (Ray), and Morgan Felty (Rebecca); nine great-grandchildren, Taylor and Karleigh Morgan, Hayden, Owen, and Baby Myers, Sam and Colby Hawkins, Jacob and Cullen Felty; special friends, Penny and Scott Belaus, Frances Daniel; her Yankee Coffee Shop Breakfast Gang; and her best 4 legged friend, Baby. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday July 28, 2011 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 29, 2011 at West End Baptist Church 6506 Boydton Plank Rd. Petersburg, VA. 23803. Burial will be held at Southlawn Memorial Park following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to be made to West End Baptist Church, or your favorite charity. The family would like to especially thank the caregivers, Stephanie, Ester, and Gayle, and the staff of Crater Community Hospice.
