Christine Lorraine Roark

Christine Lorraine Roark, 73, of Chester, passed away, peacefully at home, surrounded by all her family and friends by her side, Saturday, August 31, 2019.
Born in Abingdon, VA., she was the daughter of the late Vernie and Emma Burke. She is the daughter-in-law of Margaret “Helen” Roark and the late Nelson “Gene” Roark.
Christine was a faithful member of Enon Church of God. She enjoyed camping and riding motorcycles but her strongest passion was her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed.
Christine is survived by her beloved husband, Robert W. Roark; daughters, Beverly Balint and her husband, Kenneth, Catina Horne and her husband, Bryan, and Marcie Sanders and husband, Phillip; Sheryl Farley and her husband, Gary; nine grandchildren, Rebecca Balint, Katelyn Balint Tischler and her husband, Zachary, Madison Balint, Reagan Sanders, Gabriella Sanders, Samantha Sanders, Alby Farley, Abbey Horne, and Belle Horne; great-grandson, Jaxon Tischler; brother, Dayton Burke and his wife, Dolores; sister, Florence Roberts and her husband, Fred; niece, Danita Lackey and her husband, John; nephew, Anthony “Tony” Roberts and his wife, Renee; great-nieces and great-nephews, Hunter Lackey, Parker Lackey, Ava Lackey, Thomas Roberts, and Maggie Roberts; and sister-in-law, Sandra Sue Thomas and the late Clayton “Jay” Thomas.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at the funeral Home, with Pastors Scott Tischler and Larry Briggs officiating.
Interment will follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens.
