Muriel â??Christineâ? Hudson Stevens of Colonial Heights went to be with the Lord on July 28, 2011. She was born on July 6, 1921 in Petersburg, Virginia and was a 1938 graduate of Petersburg High School. Christine was a devoted wife, mother and servant of Jesus Christ who was a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Petersburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, Coalie C. and Mary E. Hudson; brother, James Carlton Hudson, and a son, William Henry Stevens, III. Survivors are her husband of almost 67 years, William H. Stevens, Jr.; son, Mark H. Stevens and wife, Wendy Whitlock Stevens; daughter, Carolyn R. Lanphear and husband, Bob Lanphear; granddaughter, Sylvia A. Watts, and three great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, August 1, 2011 at Trinity United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery. The family would like to thank Hospice of Virginia and the staff of Care Advantage. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T.
