Christopher Leigh Davidson, 31, of Chesterfield passed away Thursday, August 18, 2011. He worked for the Southside Virginia Emergency Crew as an EMT, volunteer firefighter for 14 years with Chesterfield Fire & EMS, Phillips Station 13, worked Fire and Life Safety house in Chesterfield, a member of The Red Knights, a member of The Old Dominion Historical Fire Society, Office of Emergency Medical Services Crater 6 task force commander, and graduated from Matoaca High School in 1998. He is survived by his parents, Roy and Sandra Davidson; one son, Cameron C. Davidson; sister, Crystal D. Walker and husband, Jim; two nieces, Summer N. Walker and Allison M. Walker; nephew, Austin D. Walker; maternal grandmother, Eunice Mayes Cogbill; paternal grandparents, James & Annette Davidson; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted 11 am Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Monday, August 22, 2011 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Blandford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Red Knights.
