Clara Hobbs Minetree

Clara Hobbs Minetree, 95, of Petersburg, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Sr. and Ellie Hobbs; her husband, Joseph Minetree, Jr.; her brother, Harry Hobbs, Jr.; and her sisters, Alma Horne and Elsie Gibbs.

Clara was a longtime member of Kenwood United Methodist Church. She was a good wife, mother, and grandmother and was always there for her family and friends.

Clara is survived by her daughter, Joan Furrey and her husband, William Furrey; granddaughter, Catherine Martin; great-grandson, Coley Mahathey; great-granddaughters, Madilyn Mahathey, Shane Martin, and Piper Martin; and numerous extended family members.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Blandford Cemetery, 319 S. Crater Road, Petersburg. All attendees are asked to meet at Blandford Cemetery prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kenwood United Methodist Church, 25200 Ritchie Avenue, Dinwiddie.
