Clarence Blankenship

Clarence R. â??Jackâ? Blankenship, age 76, of Chester, VA, departed this life on Saturday, September 5, 2009. He was born in Chester, VA, the son of the late Carlos and Ella Woodfin Blankenship, Mr. Blankenship was a retired electrician with VEPCO. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Shirley Morgan Blankenship; daughters, Shiela Soloe and Victoria Oâ??Connell and husband, Pat; grandson, Shane Neace; great-grandchildren, Deven, Reid and Brooke Neace; twin sister, Janet Mae Turner and sister, Sue Ramsey and husband, Gene; devoted nephew, Ralph Hiller and wife, Betty Sue; and other family and friends. The family will receive friends at the Chester chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Monday, September 7, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside funeral services will take place in Sunset Memorial Park on Tuesday, September 8, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Crater Community Hospice at 3916 S.
