Clarence Edward (Eddie) Joyner, 49 of Prince George County passed away unexpectedly in West Va on Saturday, May 1. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. V. Clarence Joyner, Jr of Prince George. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. V. Clarence Joyner Sr. (Nanny and Papa) and Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Waymack. He is survived by his two sons, Clarence Edward, Jr. (E.J.) and wife, Belinda of Prince George; Brandon Lee, and wife Diane; two grandchildren, Erin and Jacob of Dinwiddie County. He is also survived by sisters Tracy J. Pierce, husband Bernie Pierce and nieces Blair and McKenzie; Tammy J. Tucker, husband Lynn "Bubba" Tucker, nephews Mitchell and Wyatt and nieces Emileigh and Savannah.

He graduated from Prince George High School and John Tyler Community College earning his certifications in Mortuary services as well as an emergency medical technician and fire and rescue.

Edward was an avid NASCAR fan (Dale Earnhardt!) and enjoyed attending and working the races at RIR. He enjoyed cooking brunswick stews and preparing for family pig roasts. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle for the Annual Teddy Bear Run. He loved going to Cape Hatteras and surf fishing. He began at an early age volunteering for the Prince George Emergency Crew and throughout the years worked many hours with the Jefferson Park Fire Department and the Ford Volunteer Fire Department as well as A & B Ambulance. Edward also worked for E. A. Small Funeral Home in Colonial Heights. Edward had a heart of gold and would volunteer endless hours of his time helping those in need.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Prince George Emergency Crew or Ford Volunteer Fire Department. A private family service will be held at a later date.
