Clarence Kimbrell, 90, of Hopewell, died Wednesday, January 2, 2008. He was born in Nauvoo, Alabama. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII and was a retired painter with Allied Chemical Corp., a member of The Loyal Order of Moose #1422 for 33years and a member of Powers Memorial Baptist Church. Mr. Kimbrell was the son of the late Lemon Andrew and Martha Mary Latham Kimbrell. Surviving are his wife Sylvia Belle Kimbrell of Hopewell, two step-sons Jack G. Harland of Crane Hill, Alabama, Dan H. Harland of Gardendale, Alabama, step-daughter Beverly Jean Matthews of Pinson, Alabama five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a sister, Audrey Jones of Nauvoo, Alabama , several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 11:00AM in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service with Dr. James Rogers, pastor of Powers Memorial Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation to follow the service.
