Clarence Linwood â??Jackâ? Moseley, Sr. of Hopewell, Va., passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2011. He was the widower of Drexel Yancey Moseley. Jack and Drexel had a loving and devoted marriage for over 64 years. Mr. Moseley was born in Lunenburg County, Va. He was preceded in death by his parents Moody and Susie Moseley, and one brother, Milton Moseley. He is survived by three sons, Clarence Linwood Moseley Jr. (Audrey) of Petersburg, Robert M. Moseley (Debbie), Michael L. Moseley all of Hopewell. Mr. Moseley served in the United States Navy in the Philippine Islands during WWII. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion of Virginia. Mr. Moseley was employed by the Woods Dairy as a milkman for many years. He retired from Hercules Chemical Plant in Hopewell. Mr. Moseley was an avid rabbit hunter and fisherman. His love for the outdoors afforded him the opportunity to work for many years at the Flowerdew Hundred Plantation. He enjoyed trips to Nags Head, N.C., country music, his cigars, and eating seafood. He was a kind and gentle husband, father, and friend. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will receive friends of Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 7 â?? 8:30 pm at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday at Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1222 Wilson Rd., Forksville, Va. 23950
