Clarence Franklin Sanford

Clarence Sanford went home to be with his Heavenly Father on September 20, 2020. He was raised in Prince George VA. Clarence married the love of his life Marion and they lived and raised 4 children on Long Island NY. Buck as he was lovingly known as loved the Lord, his wife, his family and friends. He was blessed to have traveled to Israel to visit the birthplace of Jesus, along with his trips to Hawaii. He loved his trips to Pennsylvania with his wife to visit the Amish Country. He is proceeded in death by his son, Don Sanford; his parents, Hilliard and Maybelle Sanford; and his brothers, Harold Sanford and Kenneth Sanford. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Marion Sanford; his children, Hope and John Samet, Holly and Dallas Weston, Amy Sanford, Brenda and Lance DeVaul; his only granddaughter, Tammy Samet; grandsons, Kenny Edwards and Christopher Edwards; great-grandsons, Rorenise Toafili and Kenny Edwards Jr. Also his sister, Francis Dingas; brother, Norman “Butch” and wife, Carol Sanford and brother, David “Vincent” Sanford. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
