Clarence Edward Walters

Clarence Edward “Bud” Walters, 91, of Chester, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and 3 sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mary Louise Walters; children, Carolyn, Ben (Kathy), Dan (Pat), Donna Beverley (Rudy), and Joyce Cornett; 19 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; one sister and four brother, all of Indiana. Bud was a WWII veteran serving with the 3rd Infantry Regiment in the European Theater. He retired from DGSC in 1987 as a Civil Service Employee. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2016 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Rd., Chester, VA 23831. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Chester Christian Church, 4330 Curtis St., Chester, VA 23831. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 in Virginia Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Chester Christian Church in honor of Mr. Walters.
