Claudette Sadler

Mrs. Claudette Aileen Spencer Sadler, 70, of Matoaca, went to be with her Savior Saturday, January 26, 2008, following a period of declining health. She was the daughter of the late Thomas David Spencer and Daisy Lee McFaden Spencer. Claudette was a 1954 graduate of Petersburg High School, and was a member of Matoaca Christian Fellowship. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Allen Sadler, and grandson Timothy Michael Edmonds. Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, Charles Allen Sadler; two daughters, Cynthia S. Edmonds of Ford, VA, and Catherine S. Sorensen and husband Harley, of Chesterfield, VA; one son, Thomas â??Davidâ? Sadler and wife Loretta of Matoaca, VA; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marion S. Moehring and husband Errett of Chester, VA. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30pm on Monday, January 28 at the Petersburg chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, 1 p.m. in Matoaca Christian Fellowship, 7700 River Rd., Matoaca, VA, 23803, with the Pastor Ryan Atchison officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Matoaca Christian Fellowship Building Fund.
