Claudia Bowyer Makela

Claudia Bowyer Makela of Prince George, VA, died on Saturday, November 3rd. She was the daughter of Durwood and Pearl Bowyer of Chester, VA. She is survived by her two sons, Kacey Christopher Makela and Kenneth “Mac” Makela; her former husband, Ken Makela; sister, Carol Sims, of Florida; and her brother, Kevin Bowyer. She had four wonderful grandchildren, Kamryn, Houston, Brandon, and Jason. She was an amazing mother and friend to everyone she ever came in contact with. We will have a small memorial service on Friday evening at her house. She would want to be surrounded by her friends and family to celebrate her life. A special thanks to J.T.
