Claudine Morris Creamer, 87, of Hopewell, VA, departed her earthly life on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.
Born in John Randolph Hospital on November 18, 1935, and raised in Hopewell, where she lived her entire life; she retired from Allied Chemical after 30 years of service. Claudine was the daughter of the late Emma Florence Dixon and Rufus Milton Morris. She was an avid bowler for many decades, and an active member of First Baptist Church of Hopewell for all her life; as well as church Historian.
She was a member of Cav-O-Links and JILTS Sorority in high school; as well as a member of the Omicron Chapter of Beta Mu Sorority for 63 years. Claudine graduated from Hopewell High School in 1953.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Melvin J. Creamer, Jr.; son, David Patrick Creamer; and son-in-law, Randy C. Clevenger.
She is survived by her son, Michael J. Creamer; sister-in-law, Mary Patricia Hoehing; daughter, Janice L. Creamer; son-in-law, Charlie Sylvester; and grandsons, Jayden Creamer, Jarrett Creamer, and Joey Sylvester. Claudine was an only child but had many friends in her lifetime, including her high school friends with whom she enjoyed Friday lunches, beach trips, and many Class Reunions. A funeral service will be held Monday, June 26, 2023, at 2:00 PM, at First Baptist Church, 401 N. 2nd Ave, Hopewell. Interment will follow at Appomattox Cemetery.
